The Soul – Discerning Light and Darkness in Turbulent Times

- 2 min read
June 10 & July 22
Online via Zoom

Program Description:
Amidst a world filled with uncertainty, division, and spiritual exhaustion, how can we identify paths that lead to life, truth, and hope? This 2-session workshop, organized by The Guild for Spiritual Guidance, provides a contemplative and prayerful environment to explore four soul movements: Holy Darkness, Unholy Darkness, Unholy Light, and Holy Light. Through attentive listening, spiritual reflection, and collective wisdom, participants are encouraged to enhance their discernment and find practices to stay anchored in hope during challenging times.
In this two-night program, starting with a session on June 10 and concluding with a session on July 22, we will explore four movements:
Holy Darkness – The purification of the ego and a gradual surrender to the deeper desires of the Self.
Unholy Darkness – The oppression of the inner voice that leads to alienation and despair.
Unholy Light – A false clarity shaped by collective projections that can justify prejudice and violence.
Holy Light – Numinous illumination and joy that draw us toward transcendence and the source of hope.
This program is designed to assist anyone facing the difficulties of today's world. Individuals in roles that focus on helping others, including teachers, parents, social workers, pastors, chaplains, or spiritual guides, will find this experience especially valuable. Join us in this environment where we will take time to slow down, enhance our awareness, and broaden our understanding of the art of discernment.
